Listen to the STILLPOINT playlist on Spofity as you contemplate the 52nd Gene Key. MOVE to it and through it, whether you’re doing yoga, dancing, walking, or cleaning the house! Yes, I’m urging you to contemplate stillness while IN MOTION. The playlist is designed to be listened to as a journey from start to finish, so avoid “shuffling”.
This particular journey ends with ~10 minutes of sound healing to align you with the Schumann Resonance (the heartbeat of the Earth). For this last track, find a place to ground yourself, receive the vibrations, and connect to your own stillpoint.
52nd Gene Key: Shadow of Stress - Gift of Restraint - Siddhi of Stillness
This week’s Gene Key has me contemplating breath.
For the last several days, the sky has been thick with the haze of wildfire smoke drifting across the Midwest from Canada.
The air quality is awful.
We’ve been warned to stay inside. To refrain from intense activity. To keep our windows closed and run our air purifiers.
Each of the Shadows in the 64 Gene Keys has a core dilemma that keeps us stuck in that frequency.
In the case of the 52nd Gene Key, the dilemma at the core of the Shadow of Stress is shallow breathing.
Breath seems to be top of mind for us in this recent era.
The pandemic that affected the lungs of so many.
The raging wildfires and their impact on air quality.
The rising popularity of breathwork techniques and practices.
With every inhale, we bring life-force energy into our bodies.
We co-create with it, allowing it to penetrate our very being while we infuse it with our intentions and desires, and vibrations.
It expands inside of us, finding every nook and cranny, and filling us with inspiration.
And when we exhale, we release infinitesimal particles into the field around us, sharing our inner intentions with the external world, conspiring as we shape our auras and the greater collective energy field.
Only, when we’re unaware of our breath, the power it has to create, and that we are literally BEING BREATHED by something greater…we find ourselves deep inside of the Shadow of Stress.
We’re disconnected from the pulse of all that is.
And so, we hurry and we fret and we become stress itself.
Either we cannot sit still or we feel stuck and immobile…all because we believe there is a deadline (death) and we have to make things happen and get shit done.
We have no concept of the greater movements and unfoldings that we are a natural part of — we cannot see the forest, only the trees.
When we become so rooted in this collective human field of stress, our physical bodies pay the price and our mental anxiety runs the show.
It is a collective field, this stress.
The vibratory auras of every human intermingle, overlap, influence, and knit together one large field that covers the Earth like a veil, reinforcing the illusion of separateness.
When we’re stressed, our breath is shallow.
The problem is, we seem to be stressed so often that this shallow breathing has become a problem itself.
A well-worn, homeostatic groove that makes it difficult to rise out of the Shadow.
What is required, though, is exactly that: we must rise out of this collective pressure of stress and the vibratory field of fear.
If we’re feeling STUCK (repressive state), the work is finding a way to be of service to something greater than ourselves.
If we’re being RESTLESS (reactive state), the work is seeing through our mental patterns to discover the deep-seated fears that drive them.
The remarkable Gift of Restraint is all about striking a balance between two energy extremes of life: activity (motion) and passivity (stillness).
Restraint requires deep patience, and trust in the flow of life and its cycles, rhythms, and patterns.
It’s about resisting the temptation to interfere. To push. To rush. To hurry. To force.
A tall order when we feel so much collective pressure to do and produce and create!
Restraint also urges us to recognize that patience is ESPECIALLY required at the beginnings of things — when a project begins, when we’re learning something new, when we’re building a business, when we’re amidst a great transformation.
There is always messiness, fits and starts, sputtering, and chaos at the beginning (see Gene Key 3 for more on that!).
We must be especially patient during these times!
We must practice RESTRAINT. The art of noninterference.
We can do this by asking, “How can I be of greatest service to the world?”
There is a seed of individual destiny inside each of us.
We must live our lives in answer to this question.
Not by forcing our direction, but by being patient.
“Children contain the seed of their own future, and if allowed to develop at their own pace and in their own way without too much interference, they will eventually flourish.” ~ Richard Rudd
The 64 Siddhis illuminate a reality beyond paradox and duality.
In the case of the 52nd Siddhi of Stillness, a “still wave” exists at both ends of the energy spectrum.
At the highest frequency, the waves become so short that they merge into a single line, and at the lowest frequency waves become so loose they no longer exist.
No waves.
Frequency is transcended.
Both ends of the spectrum are experienced as stillness.
As we embody the Siddhi of Stillness, we experience all energy patterns as stopping and we sit at the heart of all creation: the stillpoint.
Our thoughts stop, too.
And our emotional waves.
This is the “stilling of the wave”, a collective phenomenon (see the 55th Gene Key) where the turbulent emotional waves and subsequent drama of all humans will be stilled.
The 52nd Gene Key contains a seed archetype…”the original intention and dream of mankind: to realize our position as the still point at the heart of creation itself.”

How might I harvest more pauses in my day and restore deep breathing?
How can I be of greatest service to the world? 👉 CONTINUE ASKING + LIVING THE ANSWER TO THIS!
Are my intentions for [insert project/work/creation] pure and free from fear?
Where in my life do I struggle to practice restraint or noninterference?
How might I be more patient and accepting?
Where might I benefit from a system, structure, or routine that is more aligned with my (and the Earth’s) natural rhythms?
