Gene Key 51: Shadow of Agitation, Gift of Initiative, Siddhi of Awakening
This Gene Key represents the very human journey of disconnection, remembering, and reconnection.
In our disconnected state, the Shadow, we have a profound distrust in life.
Because we cannot see the bigger picture, and our vision is so narrowly focused on our own dramas, we live our lives in a state of constant Agitation.
We see life, and other peopleâs actions, as a random series of events.
So, how do we react?
Some people withdraw from the surface of their lives out of fear, allowing the world to happen to them.
Others attempt to control the world and force things to go how they think they should.
What is needed, though, isnât cowardice or control.
Itâs softening and gentleness.
When we can acknowledge our agitation and fear, and soften to it with compassion and presence, we can move through lifeâs challenges with grace.
All difficulties are seen as initiations that hold the potential for our evolution.
The Gift of Initiative shows us that reconnecting with our truest, most authentic selves is available as we walk our paths.
Our lives offer us a unique curriculum.
Iâm in the middle of a few initiations right now, including the loss of my beloved dog, Brisco.
Take a pause and consider where you may be in an initiation of your own.
Maybe youâre changing careers, moving, or entering or exiting a relationship.
Perhaps youâve also experienced a loss, or your âsnowglobeâ has been shaken in some way and your reality will never be the same.
Reflect on how youâre navigating this experience.
Are you forcing and pushing your way through the discomfort?
Are you moving gently and softening to it?
Maybe youâre doing a bit of both.
As we move into the Siddhi of Awakening, there is something to note:
There are no levels to awakening. There is no process, no roadmap, and no guarantee.
Also, to be âawakeâ means to be FULLY awakened, meaning one has died back into the source consciousness.
This Siddhi asks us to consider that the âlevelsâ of awakening that we like to ponder through our spiritual practice are schemes of the mind.
There is only being asleep or being awake.
And to be awake is a divine realization, not the process of spiritual growth, walking our path, or enlightenment.
Honestly, when I read this I felt a ton of relief.
There is no right path. There is no guarantee.
There is simply the practice of growth, expansion, and evolution without expectation.
And dropping the promise of âawakeningâ allows us to soften into our journeys that much more.
